Filed under:

Just south of Miami in the Gulf of Mexico, there sits a special place – a tropical island called Key West. This scenic Florida Island is the perfect destination for summer vacations.

Warm weather, perfect water temperatures, and exquisite marine life make for one-of-a-kind diving experiences. Key West, dubbed the “Land of Hemingway,” is famous for its rich history, artistic appeal, and breathtaking sunsets. The streets of Key West are lined with charming, Victorian bed and breakfasts. Throughout the area, trolleys stop to pick up visitors looking to experience the fabulous dining, shopping, and nightlife on renowned Duval Street.

Key West boasts great summer events including two must-attend festivals - the Annual Hemingway Days Festival and the Annual Summer Food & Wine Festival. The Hemingway Days Festival celebrates one of America’s great legendary authors each year during July. The Annual Summer Food & Wine Festival running July 29 – August 7 gives visitors the opportunity to enjoy wine tastings, spectacular feasts, lavish buffets, and a wide array of samplings of different courses. It is a must for food and wine aficionados.
