Indaba South Africa Tourism Expo Starts Tommorrow

Indaba, the South African Tourism’s annual exhibition will take place at the International Convention Centre in Durban, South Africa, from May 7 - 10, 2005.

Billed to be the largest tourism event of its kind on the African continent, Indaba is ranked among the top three exhibitions on the global travel trade calendar alongside the World Travel Market in London, UK and Berlin’s ITB.

The exhibition showcases a comprehensive range of products from different sectors of Southern Africa’s travel and tourism industry. Products will range from airlines, car rental and destination management companies to game lodges.

An aggressive drive to promote this year’s exhibition has seen international exhibitors from Europe, Africa and North America increase to 815 up from 365, last year. There will be a total 1813 exhibitors at Indaba 2005, a 40% increment from last year’s 1295 figure.

Chemical Romance At Expo

It's been a big year for My Chemical Romance. The New Jersey emo band's second album, last year's "Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge," finally drew the notice of mainstream music magazines like Rolling Stone. My Chemical Romance also scored a gig opening for Green Day and headlined this summer's incarnation of the Warped Tour.
