Tennessee Passes Nevada On Top Tourism List

Her pointed remark in Pigeon Forge came as she said Tennessee has edged out Nevada to become the eleventh most visited state in the country.

While most Southern states are declining in visitation, she said, Tennessee’s is up 2.1 percent.

TALLAHASSEE, FL (AP) -- In late July shoppers will get tax breaks on books and school supplies. And in early June, shoppers will get a break on the six-cent sales tax on hurricane supplies and on clothes. State lawmakers sent the two bills Wednesday to the governor. It already passed the House.
