In a novel effort aimed at creating awareness about preservation of ecological balance and promoting tourism, a private sector hospitality company has ventured into the field of wildlife and adventure tourism.
Country Club India Limited, a Hyderabad based company with an assets base of Rs 500 crore, has acquired its first wildlife property and launched the “Country Club Bush Betta Resort” spread over 20 acres next to National Park at Bandipur in Karnataka.
A prototype of the jungle resort was launched by Union Tourism Minister Renuka Choudhary here last night.
The company proposed to invest about Rs 20 crore in acquiring and renovating this property and has aggressive plans to market this property globally and to transform it into a major tourist attraction.
Speaking on the occasion, Choudhary said a project of this nature has been taken up at a time when the government was laying more emphasis on protecting the fast depleting wildlife population.
Chairman and Managing Director of the company Y Rajeev Reddy said the company proposes to invest Rs 100 crore in the next two years in the area of wildlife and adventure tourism.

A project to provide better information on tourist movements within New Zealand is under way, Tourism Minister Mark Burton announced today
The Ministry of Tourism's New Zealand Tourism Flows Model, will map where and how international and domestic tourists move throughout New Zealand.
"This is critical information for the tourism sector as it will provide detailed understanding of the current characteristics of tourism in New Zealand's regions and importantly, it will link this analysis with tourism visitor forecasts to provide insights into how tourism will develop on the ground", Mark Burton said.
