Romance among the ‘Undiscovered’
IS THERE a place for true love amidst the trials and tribulations of success and fame in today’s celebrity-oriented media world? This is the question that director Meiert Avis tries to answer in “Undiscovered,” where the pressure of dealing with their respective careers almost eliminates the feelings and aspirations of a struggling musician and a model trying to become an artist.
Set in the world of up-and-coming artists, “Undiscovered” is a heartfelt comic film that tells the story of an aspiring model Brier who falls in love with a struggling musician, Luke, early in their careers. After Brier has become successful in New York, they meet again some years later and she decides to help him land a record deal by getting him noticed. As Luke’s profile rises, so do the demands of his budding new career. But although he and Brier can’t hide the spark that was always there, they both discover that the price of fame is higher than anyone expected.
