Dark romance

In the biggest movement to sweep the runway in four years, designers are not afraid of the dark. Look at Marc Jacobs, Prada, Michael Kors. But even with pink's somber alter ego - black - at the forefront of the season's palette, luxury and feminine details are not lacking. "If you're gonna go buy our record this week, don't buy our record just donate to the Red Cross or anything you think can help the hurricane victims," Way said, speaking on MTV's Total Request Live show yesterday. Way insists the goth-rockers are planning to do everything

The autumn of romance

It may be true that, as Tennyson wrote: "In the spring, a young man's fancy lightly turns to thoughts of love." For women, though, the season for romance is autumn. That's when we fall in love with fashion, swooning for cashmere and tweed, dreaming over velvet and fur, longing for great tailoring and elegant silhouettes. Luckily for fashion lovers, fall 2005 offers more romantic intrigue than a Victorian novel in three volumes. Recent seasons have been flirty and fun, but now it's as if fashion's debutante ball has ended and the ingenue has emerged as a woman, all sleek and soignee and sophisticated. Texture,

Saliva Inspired By Romance On New Album

"The Rise and Fall of a Glorified Kingdom" is due out in the first quarter of 2006 via Island. "I think with all of our albums, we've thrown our fans a curveball but we've continued to be Saliva," Scott says. "I think it's going to probably be a very alternative record. It's going to be a romantic record. It's what's been
