Mariah Carey has slammed Eminem for playing answer-phone messages

Mariah Carey has slammed Eminem for playing her personal answer-phone messages on his current tour.

The sexy diva - who was romantically linked to the rap star in 2001 - was left furious when she discovered Eminem plays a recording of her phone messages at his ‘Anger Management‘ concerts.

After a clip of her hit song ‘We Belong Together’ is played, Mariah can be heard saying: “I heard you were getting back with your ex-wife. Why won’t you see me? Why won’t you call me? You’re not calling me.”

The rapper then pretends to vomit before launching into his song ‘Puke’. Mariah’s manager, Benny Medina, told America’s New York Post newspaper: “While we appreciate Eminem as an artist, lately his work has seemed tasteless and unnecessarily mean-spirited. The public seems to agree - just look at his declining record and concert ticket sales.”

A friend of the stunning singer claims the phone message isn’t really Mariah’s voice, but an actress impersonating her.

Mariah has always denied dating Eminem, but he recently claimed reports of his steamy affair with Mariah after she was dumped by her boyfriend Luis Miguel for the second time were in fact true.

Romance that defies belief

From "Say Anything ...." to "Almost Famous," Cameron Crowe has made his name with movies that strike the right tone -- a bittersweet balance that's funny, melancholy, romantic and observant. It's one his idol, Billy Wilder, perfected decades ago. Which is what makes "Elizabethtown" so curious, and such a disappointment. In telling the story of a young man who returns to his small-town Kentucky roots after his father's death, it's as if writer-director Crowe wanted to make several movies but couldn't decide among them, so he just made them all, then trimmed for time. Characters say and do things real people don't say
